As the representative city of international reputation in China, Beijing has secured balanced development and substantial enhancement in multiple aspects including talent advantage, resource convergence, and international exchanges in recent years.

Beijing gathers China's best talents. It is home to 93 universities and nearly 600,000 university students. The capital city accommodates the most high-end research institutions like the Chinese Academy of Sciences. There are 55 enterprise headquarters entering the Fortune 500 list in Beijing, surpassing all other city in the world for eight consecutive years.

In the "Year of Anti-epidemic", Beijing has successively held a number of international conferences and events like the International Fair for Trade in Services and the HICOOL Global Entrepreneurship Competition. At the press conference on “Major Achievements of the ZGC Forum”, 8 major innovation results and policies, 5 innovative technology indexes and research reports, 6 innovation platforms and clusters were all released for the first time. The aforementioned results fully support the establishment of the National Center of Science and Technology Innovation in Beijing, and serve the innovation-driven development strategies and the scheme of innovation-oriented country.

"The Plan targeting on Promoting Beijing’s Role As The International Exchange Center" clarifies its "one core, two axes, and multiple plates” development strategy, paving the way for building a batch of international talent communities featuring “international atmosphere, diversified culture, innovated courses, guaranteed services, and friendly residency".

Advanced development demands the participation of various talents; therefore, “2020 Beijing Tour For Global  Talents", an important part of the "Beijing Connect" program, has been officially launched recently to serve such purpose. To better adhere the concept of sharing together, living together, and winning together. Since 2010, the event has been held nine times.
