Risen Energy Continues to Significantly Drive Down the Cost of LCOE and Capex

2021-11-29

Risen Energy Co., Ltd, a leading, Tier 1 manufacturer of high-performance solar photovoltaic products, today confirmed independent validation of its significant reductions on LCOE and Capex costs with the use of its ultra-high power Titan modules.

Levelized Cost of Energy (“LCOE”) and Capital Expenditure (“Capex”) are fundamental derived values for evaluating an energy generating plant’s viability and profitability. Lower values bring beneficial results, and as such are the mainstay focus of project owners and developers alike, with credible values being as innately important as the numerate values themselves.

Risen Energy’s G5.6 Titan Series of modules, G12 format, have since their recent launch, demonstrated substantial benefits in many criteria of evaluation, not least of which are their contribution to driving down the true costs of power generation. Whilst such substantial benefits are readily quantifiable, they are inherently confidential when evaluated in isolation by any project owner or developer; the proprietary nature of the project details limits the specific details being made public for other project evaluation. To that end, Risen Energy has utilised numerous independent institutes, to provide real world testing of Titan, that demonstrate unequivocally the specific benefits upon LCOE and Capex values.

When compared to the more familiar solar PV modules of those in the M6 and M10 classes, the G12 establishes up to circa 7.5% reduction in LCOE. Innovative design drives electrical system project capex down by circa +21%, mounting project capex down by circa +11% and transportation capex down by circa +12%. Contained within the evaluation, and contributing to the LCOE and Capex values similarly, the single string power is a commendably boosted by circa +36%, with its associated benefits on reduced materials and labour costs.

“Risen Energy’s determination to add value to our customer’s goals is typified within the Titan module.” explained Mr. Bypina Veerraju Chaudary, CSMO of Risen Energy Co., Ltd., “Constantly re-evaluating the capabilities of our solar PV technology, and targeting the best of that technology to align with our customers’ commercial goals, has generated what is in effect, a customer designed outcome. Incorporating all of our traditionally accepted facets of high power, long life and cost competitive approach, this new customer driven design hits even harder at the absolute financial benefits that are key for customer commercial success and further expansion of the solar PV global penetration.”

At the current boundaries of a commercialised product, the Titan Series modules, places yesterdays’ theories into the hands of those who matter. It bodes well for those involved, that those theories can and have been turned into commercial reality, and solar PV power producers can therefore anticipate further developments along similar lines in the future.
