Robert Irwin stuns his co-stars as he makes shock confession about his 'first time' on The Project

Robert Irwin has confessed he's not much of a coffee drinker and only had his 'first cup' recently. 

The 20-year-old co-hosted The Sunday Project this weekend and made the confession during a chat on the caffeinated beverage.  

'I only just tried my first cup of coffee recently. It did not go over well at all,' Robert said to the surprise of his co-stars. 

While chatting to singer Budjerah,who also said his first-ever coffee didn't go well,Robert admitted he was happy to give the popular drink another go. 

'I feel like we've got to catch up for a coffee,I've got to get converted to the world of coffee,' Robert said. 

The Project's guest host Rachel Corbett then joked that the two lads could bond over sharing a 'cup of warm milk'.

The conservationist posted a clip to Instagram capturing him making a coffee as he worked a shift at the Crikey Café at Australia Zoo on the Sunshine Coast.

Many of Robert's fans quickly went wild over the hilarious footage.

'More nervous doing the frother than feeding the crocs,' one fan joked in the comments. 

Meanwhile,another added: 'Lol,the "I love it" while his face is clearly saying otherwise.' 

Robert has just returned from lavish week-long trip in Singapore with his beloved family including sister Bindi Irwin. 

The Irwin siblings both took to Instagram on to give an insight into their trip with their conservationist mother Terri,60.

The family were also joined by Bindi's husband Chandler Powell,their daughter Grace,two,and Chandler's parents Chris and Shannan Powell for the trip.
