Brain- Inspired Intelligence Special Competition Shines at TechInnovation in Singpapore

The " Creating the World, Sailing to the Future " Brain-Inspired Intelligence Special Competition Semi-Finals (Singapore) kicked off with enthusiasm on October 28th 2024, in TechInnovation. The event featured the final 15 projects that advanced to this stage."

The Brain-Inspired Intelligence Special Competition is hosted by the Hangzhou Municipal Committee and the Hangzhou Municipal People's Government, and organized by the Hangzhou Municipal Talent Office, the Hangzhou Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, the People's Government of Yuhang District, and the Management Committee of Hangzhou Future Sci-tech City (Haitian Innovation Park), with executed by the Zhejiang University Science Park Qizhen Brain-Computer Intelligence Industrialization Base.

Low Yen Ling, Minister of State, Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth & Ministry of Trade and Industry, attended TechInnovation and delivered a speech.

Hangzhou Future Sci-tech City and Zhejiang University Science Park Qizhen Brain-computer Intelligence Industrialization Base attended TechInnovation as supporting partners.

Mr. Seng Woei Yuan, Global Ecosystem, Singapore Week of Innovation & Technology (SWITCH), delivered an inspiring opening speech on behalf of TechInnovation.

Mr. Guo Yunwei, Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Director of the Administrative Committee of Hangzhou Future Science and Technology City, sent heartfelt greetings to the contestants from Hangzhou through a video message.

The panel included Professor Guan Cuntai, a Fellow of the Singapore Academy of Engineering and renowned brain-computer expert, along with esteemed judges: Roderick Chia, Venture Partner at Raw Ventures; Gu Deyu, Executive Director at Qifu Capital (Singapore); Sun Yu, Tenured Associate Professor at Zhejiang University; and Yao Jianxin, Assistant Director of Nanyang Technological University-NTUitive Pte Ltd.

From its inception, this Brain-Inspired Intelligence Special Competition has embraced a global vision and top-tier organizational excellence, successfully attracting 126 high-caliber talent teams from around the world. This remarkable participation underscores the booming growth of the brain-inspired intelligence field and highlights Hangzhou Future Sci-Tech City’s strong foundations and pioneering explorations in this domain, further solidifying its vital position on the international stage of technological innovation.

With the Singapore semi-finals completed, the top 20 teams will gather in Hangzhou Future Sci-tech City on November 5th 2024 to compete for the top three prizes and excellence awards.

This competition is more than a technical contest; it serves as a vibrant platform for exchanging ideas and fostering innovation. The diverse projects showcased, paired with expert feedback from judges, reflect the dynamic evolution of the brain-inspired intelligence landscape.

As we advance, the innovations from Hangzhou Future Sci-tech City are set to play a pivotal role in shaping China’s brain-computer intelligence industry. Together, we embark on an exciting journey toward a future rich with potential.
